Newest Committed Club Addict

When I first started the Committed Club at Geaux, I wasn’t sure how much it would actually motivate people. But now, every month, I look at that list and see dozens of names that show up EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH.

I hear people say things like, “I have to come on Sunday and double up so I can make the committed board.” It’s become addicting — and after making the Committed Club myself in August, I totally get it!

The last few months have been a little crazy.
New baby. New building.

Which honestly feels like déjà vu because when I became the sole owner of GCF back in 2021, six months later we welcomed our firstborn into the world. Why am I like this? 😂

Needless to say, working out got pushed to the back burner. And when that happens, you can almost guarantee nutrition starts to slip too.

Last month, with three weeks left, I told myself:
“Alright, we’re doing this. We’re getting on the Committed Board.”
I needed the accountability. I needed a goal. And I definitely needed to work out consistently.

So I started showing up again. Fifteen classes in three weeks. My body was like, “What are you doing to me?”

But about six classes in, something shifted. I wasn’t just surviving the workouts anymore. I was actually pushing again. FINALLY.

Then, right when I started to feel unstoppable… I got COVID. A full week, completely wiped out.

So here I am, cramming the remaining eight classes into the end of the month, determined to make it happen.
Six classes in a row last week almost put me in the grave, but come Tuesday, I’ll hit 15 classes!

And it’s funny, because I’ve been asking myself… why am I so obsessed with this? Why do I care so much about getting my name on that board?

Honestly, it’s the word.
Committed.

That word means something.
It means you showed up for yourself. You made time. You prioritized it. You kept your promise.

And when my name’s on that list next to that word, it just hits different.

Every day I had a plan A, a plan B, and sometimes even a plan C to make sure I got into class.

So here’s my challenge to you:
If you’ve never made the Committed Club, make October the month you do.

It’s roughly four classes a week — totally doable. You might have to plan ahead, coordinate with your family, move some things around. PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR.

But that’s the point. It forces you to prioritize yourself.

Our record so far is 67 people.
Let’s hit 70+ this month.

Because I promise you, when you start showing up more, things start to shift.
You start feeling better.
You make better choices.
You think clearer.
You start acting like the person you want to become.

Shoutout to Abigail Jones. She’s been at the top of that board every single month, and her transformation speaks for itself. That’s what consistency looks like.

So yeah… I’m addicted to the Committed Club.
Join me. Get addicted too.
Let’s crush October together and fill that board!
