If you’re looking to make changes in your nutrition, don’t complicate your life with these grand dietary plans. You have to start with the basics.

-Eating out less

-Avoid items with heavy sugar

-Cooking healthy meals at home

-Eating less food from a box

-Being prepared ahead of time

-More vegetables

It’s not logical to think that you’ll go from little to no structure in your eating habits, straight into a restrictive way of eating that will require you to prepare your own meals.

Like Coach El said in his post a few weeks back:

“The basics. Counting macros is advanced, weighing food is advanced. Most of the time people turn to these advanced prescriptions (this can also apply to training) without even trying the basics and then revert back to old habits sooner or later. Fundamentals focus on changing habits like chewing your food, eat without any distractions, put your fork down between bites, stop when you’re 80% full.”

Write down what you eat in a day in one column. Then, in the column next to it, make little changes that make it healthier. Apply those changes and see how you feel. Start there then build upon these principles. If you need help, don’t hesitate to email us.
