Scaling: It's Always An Option

During the classes on Monday, I had a member approach me about the push up portion of "Elizabeth".  She was gently rubbing her shoulders, puzzled as to how she could complete the push ups even though her shoulders were still feeling sore and fatigued from Friday and Saturday's hard hitting combo. When she asked what to do, I replied, "Just do sit ups. Give your shoulders a break." She looked at me a little surprised. She didn't realize that substituting a movement all together was an option.  With much relief that her shoulders were getting a break, she crushed the workout and went about her day.

This program is about sustainability. Some days you're not going to feel up for the movements in the WOD. You might need an extra day for the sting to wear off from the previous workouts. That's where we come in. Come talk to us and tell us how you are feeling. We want you consistently coming to the gym so that means were going to have to adapt here and there. Most days you will be fine, but some days you'll need us to cater to you. Let us. That's what we are here for.
