The busiest time of year is about to kick off and with it comes a lot of stress. The holiday season is filled with parties, desserts, drinks, and lots of money to be spent on family and friends. How will you let this effect your health? Some of you may sacrifice your gym time to fit in everything else. Here are a few BIG reasons why you shouldn't:
Your metabolism will slow down making it easier to gain weight. Add in the unhealthy eating that comes with the holidays and boom, we're making the trek back to square 1.
What cardio? All that conditioning you went through to make CrossFit "easier" just erased itself. We hear this complaint after every vacation, which is generally a week long. Imagine multiple weeks!
You increase stress which can lead to a world of issues. It's important to make time for yourself. It's one hour and it will keep you feeling better the other 23 hours in a day. It also statistically helps you make healthier decisions.
Working out makes it easier to keep coming back. Once you stop, it is harder to get going because of points 1-3.
The best advice we can give you is DO NOT sacrifice your gym time through the holidays. Work together to keep motivated and hold yourself and friends accountable. Think about how you will feel in January if you stick to your healthy lifestyle. Let's keep the momentum going!
