It's Giving Season: Military Care Packages

It’s giving season and we can’t think of a better group to give to then our deployed troops. Lindsey Quick, member of Geaux CF and the Air Force, has reached out to us to help take care of some of her fellow airmen who are deployed in Iraq. They belong to her former unit, 214th Engineering and Installations Squadron stationed in Belle Chase.

Right now their lives consist of chow, work, working out, watching dvds, repeat. By far the best package to receive when deployed is something personalized.  When I was deployed one of my favorite items was created by a child. It was a Christmas stocking with my name on it.  These guys will not be able to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s with their families.  That being said, cards, letters, stockings, baked goods, personalized items created by a child or adult truly mean the world.  The small things mean everything.
