Just wondering if anyone has any interest in splitting a cow from one of the local grassfed beef farms?  (http://www.eatwild.com/products/louisiana.html)  I’m definitely interested, but have no need for >50 lbs of beef in my freezer right now.

I’d be up for it.  I know the owners of Hollywood Livestock right here in BR.  Typically a whole pasture raise dry-aged grass fed cow yields about 250-320 lbs of meat and costs between $5-$6.  I can see if I can get them to give us a deal.  I am not sure if they will sell a half or a quarter “share” (1/2 is usually 140-160 lbs, 1/4 70-80 lbs), but at other places when you buy less than a whole it ends up being between $7-$8 per pound.
