Testimonial - Jeremy White

"Working out at Geaux CrossFit is by far the most effective, efficient and fun way to achieve elite fitness, which is important when you're a 40-something-year-old NCAA football official trying to keep up with 19-year-old scholarship athletes. Lord knows they're not getting any slower."

Paleo Thanksgiving

SATURDAY

Ok everyone take a vote on these 2 options:

Option 1 - Stick around and eat together after doing the Saturday workout.  We can make this a fun team workout.

Option 2-  Go home after workout and come back later that day for our Paleo Thanksgiving.

Geaux CrossFit will be taking care of the turkey, so we need some side dishes!!!  If you want to bring any other type of meat that is fine also.  I (Amber) will be making a few of those pumpkin pies as well.  Post to comments your vote and a dish you plan on bringing!

    Option 2

  2. Guillermo   on  11/11   at  04:40 PM

Hey Hayden how was all that meat today!

  3. Casey M   on  11/11   at  04:42 PM

I think I want to vote for 1 out of convenience?  Though dripping sweat in a sweet potato casserole (which I’ll bring) doesn’t sound great.

Hey will, actually I’ve only had two handful and almonds and two cups of coffee today… HUGE mistake!! I got pressured into running a 10k(43:24) and it messed me up I think I’m dehydrated. I need electrolytes, now! I’m about to eat a damn banana with salt sprinkled on it haha.

I assume you mean the Saturday after Thanksgiving?? I will be heading for sailing vacation. If you mean the Saturday before, I can come. Are a lot of people out of town???

  6. Amber   on  11/11   at  07:16 PM

Hey Mrs. Carol- You are in the clear!  It is November 19th.  Thursday’s post has a few comments on the Thanksgiving dinner menu.  Bethany mentioned making “bread” and Henry said bacon, which is never a bad idea smile.

Casey- Sweaty Sweet Potato casserole sounds awesome lol

Hayden- Take some Midol and wash your training bra.

    Will G- Murph wink

    EVERYONE ELSE- Vote please smile

  7. Carol Dye   on  11/11   at  07:42 PM

Great!! I’ll bring green beans with sausage. smile

  8. Henlin   on  11/11   at  09:29 PM

Either is fine with me; I prob wont bring bacon lol; bacon cooked in lard just sounded like a terrible pre workout meal. I’ll cook up some sweet potatoe fries tho! Or if everyone else in the gym is bringing sweet potatoes I’ll bring plaintain chips or cook up something else entirely!

  9. melodymamba   on  11/12   at  01:51 AM

Whhooooaaaaa Hayden got burned lol. My vote is for 4:00. Won’t be very hungry post-WOD.  Also, standing around with a bunch of sweat drenched people eating food seems kinda yucky. Would be nice to shower and we could take NICE thanksgiving group pics. Also, With my schedule that day, 4:00 is the only time I could DEFINITELY come, might not be able to get out of work. Either way, I’ll try super-hard to be there, I can’t imagine missing all these amazing paleo dishes.

IF I can make it, I’ll bring proscuitto wrapped pears with balsamic reduction wink

  10. Carol Dye   on  11/12   at  08:18 AM

Since I usually have to go to the hospital after the Saturday workouts, I say later in the day!!

  11. Amber   on  11/12   at  08:47 AM

Looks like option 2 is in the lead. 4 PM would probably be the time we would do it.  Henlin- If you bring plantain chips, bring a dip or something to go with it..check the foodee for ideas. Melody, that sounds delicious.
