As you all know we have been talking about a Paleo Challenge in the gym.  We’ve decided it’s time, so as of now we are planning to start June 1.  Now is the time to start getting rid of those grains from the pantry and get ready to go strict.  Packets will be given to those of you who participate.  There will be a sign up sheet on the desk and your packets will be emailed to you!  It’s time to take our training to the next level and see first hand how important solid nutrition is.  We encourage everyone to sign up.  The trainers will be participating too!

Workout Anxiety?

Anxiety is a psychological and physiological state characterized by somatic, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components.  The root meaning of the word anxiety is ‘to vex or trouble’; in either the absence or presence of psychological stress, anxiety can create feelings of fear, worry, uneasiness and dread.  Anxiety is considered to be a normal reaction to a stressor.  It may help a person to deal with a difficult situation by prompting one to cope with it.

Softball this Sunday

OK guys, we are nearing the end of our season with only three games left.  This Sunday’s game is at 3PM.  We had to forfeit last weeks game due to lack of females (unreliable).  I think we should be good to go this weekend, if you’re not gonna make it post to comments so we know not to expect you.  Don’t forget your uniforms!

So by now everyone should have figured out how to utilize the class sign up.  The class limit for the time being is 10 per class.  If you don’t sign up for a class and show up to a FULL class you will have to wait for the next class or come back at another time.  This does not apply to open gym, you are not required to sign up for open gym, but keep in mind that the class has priority over space and equipment.  If you forget to show up to a class that only has a few people then you are in luck and will be allowed to attend the class.  If you have any questions just ask or post to comments.

Where to Eat?

So as most of you know I ate brisket for lunch and dinner for most of last week, needless to say I’m quite sick of it with 7lbs left now chilling in my freezer.  I want to know of any places to eat that you can get a Paleo style meal for a decent price.  A decent price is $8 or less and the meal should include a meat, hearty vegetables, and a source of fat like nuts or avocado.  If you know of any restaurants or stores that you can assemble such a meal for a decent price please post to comments.  I’M HUNGRY!!!
