Testimonial - John Cambre

"CrossFit has helped me to do things that I didn't think I was still capable of. In essence it has trained me and taught me how to do what I thought was no longer possible."

Tilapa Schmalapia

SATURDAY

Last night in the gym I over heard a discussion on Tilapia.  Some of you were for it while others were against it!  I’m here to set the record straight!  The only Tilapia that would be worth consuming would be wild caught Tilapia, which is a very small market.  Most Tilapia are farm raised which causes concern considering they carry a high level of Omega-6 and only have .5 grams of Omega-3’s per 100 grams of fish.  Other fish like salmon and trout have 3-4 grams of Omega-3’s.  Omega-3 helps reduce inflammation with disease, heart disease being one of them.  Yes, it’s cheap and it taste pretty good but the fish that are farmed are mishandled and they are also opportunistic eaters which means they eat off there dead brothers and sisters!  Gross!  You don’t want mad Tilapia disease…........Do you??????
