Testimonial - John Cambre

"CrossFit has helped me to do things that I didn't think I was still capable of. In essence it has trained me and taught me how to do what I thought was no longer possible."

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a fitness and conditioning system used by many elite athletes, military, police and fire departments all over the world.  It is highly effective at creating what we call “elite fitness”.  This is very similar to what a martial artist would call a black belt.  It’s both a fitness and skill based system that takes both training and practice to master, which is something that can take years.  CrossFit combines functional movements and high intensity in a pattern that has no pattern - it is constantly varied.  It was specifically designed to develop general physical preparation and skills, which means it can be used by anyone for anything - from simply improving your way of life to helping your perform in a sport at an elite level.  People that CrossFit are usually astounded by the results - they are suddenly able to do things that were never in their realm of possibility like a rope climb, pull up or handstand - so for them, they can quite literally, “Do the Impossible!”

World Class Fitness in 100 Words

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.”
